Woman dies after being hit by train at Warren Street station – Evening Standard



A woman has died after being hit by a train at a Tube station on Monday morning.

Police were called to Warren Street station at 7.05 where a 37-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious and her family have been informed.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Warren Street London Underground station at 7.05am today (23/07) after reports of a person being struck by a train. 

“Colleagues from the London Ambulance Service also attended, however, a 37-year-old woman, from North London, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been informed. 

“This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

The Victoria line was suspended between King’s Cross and Victoria while emergency services responded to the incident, with delays on the rest of the line.
