Teens charged in public school break-in – The London Free Press
Two teenage boys are facing charges after a west-end public school was broken into and vandalized Thursday, causing more than $4,000 damage.
London police say a custodian was working inside Arthur Ford public school at 617 Viscount Rd. around 4:30 p.m. when he heard loud noises coming from the second floor.
Two teens fled through the school yard when officers arrived but were arrested shortly after.
Police say several windows, a computer tower and a cement block were damaged, costing about $4,210 to repair.
Two boys, ages 14 and 17, neither of whom can’t be named under Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act, have been charged with failing to comply with an undertaking and breaking and entering to commit mischief under $5,000. Both will appear in London court Friday.
