Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for London and area – CBC.ca

Meteorologists from Environment Canada say scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon that may cause wind gusts and hail. One or two of the storms may produce a brief, isolated tornado, Environment Canada said.

The thunderstorm watch is in effect for London, Parkhill and eastern Middlesex County as well as Strathroy, Komoka and western Middlesex County.

In the event of a thunderstorm, Environment Canada warns Canadians to stay safe and head inside.

“Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year,” said Environment Canada. “Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!”
