NEW ROOFTOP RESTO BISUSHIMA WILL OVERLOOK TRAFALGAR SQUARE – London On The Inside

A new rooftop restaurant is moving into the Page8 hotel in St Martin’s Place, and it’s gonna be one of the largest places to dine and drink al-fresco in the area with 190 covers. Spread over two roof terraces, the Japanese restaurant has views of Trafalgar Square whilst inside the interiors have been designed with the concept of Shinrin-yoku (nature therapy) in mind.

Bisushima claims to be serving the only Japanese breakfast in London – although we’re pretty sure Koya got there first – but dinner is where it really kicks off. As anyone who has been can tell you, a big part of Japanese culture is entertaining and drinking, and it’ll be no different here. There’s a large selection of wines, sakes and cocktails, alongside modern Japanese and sushi dishes like Toro tataki with quinoa and pak choi salad; Shime saba oshizushi (Seared cured mackerel pressed sushi with ginger, shiso and sesame); Unagi Shirayaki with porcini mushrooms and miso infused spinach puree and Hojicha Crème Brulee with Blackcurrant ice cream. We’re still waiting on an opening date but it’s expected to open this side of 2020.
