The victim has been named locally as Lilia Djairine, a 24-year-old mother from west London.

It is believed she was killed in front of her family’s pizzeria in Hanwell.

Specialist officers cordoned off the scene around an abandoned child’s buggy outside the eatery.

A man seen crying nearby was described as Ms Djairine’s boyfriend by witnesses.

Neighbours speaking nearby said the crime levels in the capital were ‘spiralling out of control’.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene near The Viaduct pub at 12.50pm, and a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police said the death was ‘unexplained’.
