MURDER SCENE: Area where a man in his 50s was stabbed to death this morning
The man, in his 50s, was brutally attacked at an address in Catford, south east London in the early hours of this morning as cops were scrambled.
Officers found the man at 4am but he was pronounced dead just over an hours later.
The attack comes amid a bloodshed gripping London that saw two men stabbed to death within hours of each other yesterday.
A 42-year-old man died after he was found with stab wounds at an address in Chingford yesterday, hours before a man in his 50s was found dead at a home in Walworth.

And these also came a day after a quadruple stabbing that left a child disembowelled rocked the capital.
Four teenagers were knifed after a suspected gangland fight exploded onto the streets in south London’s Camberwell on Thursday evening.
A police spokesman said of this morning’s murder that they attended a house in Ringstead Road, SE6 after a 999 call at 4am.
He added: “Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and found a man, believed to be in his 50s suffering from stab injuries.

“He was taken to a south London hospital where his died at 05:28 hours.
“His next of kin have not been informed.”
A formal identification has yet to be made and a post mortem examination will be held in due course.
The spokesman said: “The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.
“No arrests at this stage. Enquiries are ongoing.”
