M25 traffic: Diversion route in full as lorry catches fire after crash near Lakeside – Essex Live



Highways England have put diversions in place for motorists travelling on the M25 near Lakeside this morning (Saturday, November 21).

The M25 in Essex is closed clockwise between junction 29 for Romford and junction 30 for North Stifford due to a serious collision involving two lorries.

The collision happened at around 5.50am, after which one of the lorries involved caught fire.

Metropolitan Police, Fire & Rescue, Ambulance Services and Highways England Traffic Officers are at the scene dealing with the incident.

The clockwise carriageway has been closed while the road is cleared and diversions are in place.

The diversion route

Traffic travelling clockwise should follow the ‘hollow triangle’ diversion symbol and exit the M25 at junction 29 and travel east on the A127 towards Southend.

Then motorists will take the exit onto the A128 ‘Halfway House’ and continue towards Tilbury.

At the ‘Orsett Cock’ roundabout motorists will then take the the fifth exit onto the A13 towards London and re-join the M25 at junction 30.
