London fire sends smoke billowing through the capital – Daily Star
Around 60 firefighters battled the London fire at an industrial estate in Lanrick Road.
London Fire Brigade urged residents to keep their windows and doors closed, as with thick black smoke poured into the air.

The Brigade tweeted: “Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters have been called to a fire at an industrial estate in Lanrick Road in Canning Town.

“Residents and businesses in the Lanrick Road area in Canning Town should close windows and doors while we tackle a very visible large fire which is producing a lot of smoke.”
Shocked witnesses also Tweeted pictures of the fire.
Lady with Claws wrote: “Huge fire between Canning Town and Poplar, what’s going on?”
Joel Ivory-Harte added: “Huge industrial fire in Canning Town ongoing.”

LFB later confirmed that part of a glass manufacturing workshop was alight.
The blaze was under control by 2pm and no injuries were reported.
