London crime: Mystery surrounds police cordon in Kensal Rise as part of ‘ongoing investigation’ – My London



A large cordon has been put in place in Kensal Rise as part of an ‘ongoing investigation’.

Parts of Chamberlayne Road and Keslake Road, near to Kensal Rise Tube station, have been cordoned off since Sunday night (October 11).

The cordon remains in place on Monday (October 12), although it’s unknown what detectives are investigating.

When MyLondon asked the Metropolitan Police why the area had been cordoned off, a spokesperson said it was part of an ‘ongoing police investigation’.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “A crime scene is in place in Keslake Road, NW6 as part of an ongoing police investigation.

“The incident is not live.”

The spokesperson said they were not willing to discuss the incident any further.

It is not known when the cordon will be taken down.
