London crime: Man arrested after taser disguised as phone seized in Croydon – MyLondon
Police have arrested a male after a taser disguised as a phone was found in Croydon.
The nasty weapon was found after officers stopped and searched a male in the South London borough on Monday (August 10).
The taser, which was disguised to look like a Samsung Galaxy, has now been seized by police.
The Metropolitan Police taskforce said on Twitter: “TSG U44 officers conducting proactive patrols in Croydon.

“They stop and searched a male who they found to be in possession of a taser disguised as a phone!
“One nasty weapon off the street and one in custody!”
A number of people replied to the tweet to praise officers for their hard work.
One said: “Well done! Stop and search saves lives. Keep up the good work.”
Another said: “Wow that’s scary a taser phone!”
A third added: “And that’s why stop and search is a good idea! Great stop!”
