Who? Jurgen Klopp’s first signing, the Serbian midfielder was personally wooed to Anfield by the Reds boss and declared: “I would choose Liverpool over Real Madrid and Barcelona” after agreeing a deal.
Where? The Daily Mail say that Crystal Palace have made a late bid to sign Grujic on loan in an attempt to prevent the 22-year-old returning to Cardiff City who he helped win promotion to the Premier League last season.
What? Grujic went to the World Cup finals in Russia but never got a game and there’s a similar situation at his parent club.
Another season being farmed out from Anfield beckons for him. Liverpool chiefs seem happy enough to send him to South Wales again but a switch to South London might be of marginally more appeal to all parties if the interest is concrete.
Piotr Zielinski & Kalidou Koulibaly

Who? Napoli pair who have both been linked with Liverpool in the past. Back in 2016, Polish winger Zielinski was even pictured wearing a Reds shirt with his name on the back as he seemingly pushed for a move to Anfield but his club Udinese had a deal set up to move him to their Serie A rivals instead.
Where? Calciomercato reckon that both Liverpool and Chelsea will be handed a transfer blow with Napoli ready to offer the duo bumper new deals to remain at the Stadio San Paulo under new boss Carlo Ancelotti.
What? Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis claims to have recently turned down a €100million offer for Koulibaly from a Premier League team who were in for him in the past. Only today, the ECHO’s LFC correspondent James Pearce who is on tour with the Reds in the USA revealed that despite Joel Matip’s injury setback, Jurgen Klopp has no intention of signing another centre-back .
Nabil Fekir of France (Image: Shaun Botterill – FIFA via Getty Images)
Who? The one that got away but just won’t go away. The France midfielder was on the brink of a move to Liverpool before the World Cup finals but the deal collapsed.
Where? The Express quote Lyon coach Bruno Genesio as insisting that his club will continue to resist interest from Fekir’s suitors.
He says: “Since the end of discussions with Liverpool, we’re expecting some upcoming attacks from other clubs, but he’s still here and keeping him is now an option I’m considering.
“We’ll try to resist.”
What? It seems that Lyon – who were perfectly happy to flog Fekir to the Reds for big bucks – doth protest too much when it comes to their supposed ambitions to hold on to their captain.
They’ve been prattling on about the player ever since Anfield chiefs pulled the plug and while Liverpool appear to have moved on, the French club, despite what they say, look like they’re hell-bent on cashing in on their prize asset.
