Emergency services were scrambled to the Taste of Lahore Pakistani restaurant on Station Road, Harrow, following the attack.

A man in his 20s has been rushed to hospital after the attack at around 11.45pm Sunday night.

In a statement, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. A man, believed to be aged in his mid-20s, was taken to a central London hospital suffering from stab injuries.

“We await an update on his condition. There have been no arrests in connection with the assault.”

Tweeting pictures of the scene of the stabbing, Twitter user Khoa wrote: “Another stabbing in Harrow outside my fav restaurant @TasteofLahore”.

The attack is the latest in a wave of violent crimes in the capital this year.

Official figures from the Met Police show knife crime has surged 16% in the UK in the past year.
