“With 28,633 tests processed yesterday, Ontario remains the leader in daily COVID-19testing. In fact, we’ve now surpassed Alberta in cumulative tests per capita and lead every other province. Hospitalizations, ICU admissions and vented patients all continue to decline,” Christine Elliott wrote on Twitter.

Nearly 600 people were seen at London’s two COVID-19 assessment centres on Saturday, the last date for which data is available.

Fewer than five people are in hospital. London Health Sciences Centre has stopped reporting the exact number since it’s so low.

Just one outbreak is still active, at Westmount Gardens long-term care home, down from more than 10 a few months ago. Young people have surged past the elderly as the largest percentage of COVID-19 infections, with those aged 20 to 29 making up more than 20 per cent of cases. The next highest group is those over 80, with 17 per cent of cases.
