BREAKING: Man RUSHED to hospital after being STABBED outside restaurant in Harrow –

Police were called at around 11.45pm last night and both officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

Images emerged from social media show at least six police officers outside the restaurant on Station road attending the man who has been injured in the violent incident.

A spokesman for MET Police said: “A man believed to be in his mid-20s, was taken to a central London hospital suffering from stab injuries.

“We await an update on his condition.”

The area has been cordoned off while police deal with the crime, no arrests have been made in connection with the assault.

Violent crime is on the rise in the UK, with incidents involving knives or sharp instruments rising sharply by 16 percent to 40,147 in England and Wales for the year up to March 2018.

Police records revealed that the number of gun crimes rose by two percent to 6,492 offences over the same period, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

Excluding those killed in terror attacks including London Bridge, Westminster and Manchester, there was also a 12 percent rise in murders – the highest numbers in a decade.

According to official statistics from the Met Police, so far in 2018 there have been 1,296 stabbings in London up to the end of April.

There have been 89 suspected murders in London since the start of the year, and at least 51 fatal stabbings.
